Antique JOHN GOULD 'Harpactes Fasciatus' Red TROGON Lithograph

Description: ORIGINAL JOHN GOULD (1804-1881) 'HARPACTES FASCIATUS (FASCIATED TROGON)' HAND COLORED LITHOGRAPH FROM 'BIRDS OF ASIA' (1850-1883) This is just a great original piece. I have been buying more and more Audubon and John Gould original prints lately as I am finding they are coming back into favor. I have been selling more to younger people lately then I ever did. This is one of 2 Trogon bird prints I am offering. When I first saw them I thought they were from the series John Gould did of different Toucans. Turns out they are from his Birds of Asia but they are really just as good. This one is a wonderful view of the male and female Fasciated Trogon. Gorgeous original print with outstanding original color. Image measures 20 x 14 inches. The only issue to measure is along the far right center side of the margin you can see what is a slight tear. Marbled sheet matte is complimentary and gold wood frame is ready to hang. On the back of the frame is the original information sheet that came with the original print.
