Description: (9/15/2024) Up for your consideration...this antique oil painting on board we'd call "Lodge Art" by an unknown early Texas artist. We have a verbal history for sure dating it to "older than the 1930s"...as that's when the current owner's grandparents moved to East Texas. At that time they bought a 15-to-20 year old home which came with this painting. The previous home owners said the painting was a welcome-to-the-neighborhood gift when they moved in, given to them by a local neighbor who enjoyed painting. Thus, we know this was painted somewhere around 1920-1925...ish. It's hung in the same home in East Texas since being gifted to the original owners. The painting is on board, not on canvas. The frame is in good shape, even with minor age-related wear. The exposed painted area is 12.5" x 6.75", and the overall size including frame is 14.75" x 9". Unfortunately the artist didn't sign the piece, and inquiries to the few remaining folks in the neighborhood who might remember the artist has, thus far, not been fruitful. Obviously if we somehow manage to stumble upon the artist's name we'll gladly pass it along...but in all honesty we suspect this one will remain a mystery. (Just being honest...Golden Rule and all). NOTE: We are not a retail store, nor are we experts in paintings. If there is information you cannot ascertain from this listing, PLEASE drop us a line and we'll be HAPPY to help any way we can! Don't assume...ask! :-) Shipping will include ample packaging material for guaranteed safe delivery. NO HANDLING FEES...because this is not a retail business. THANKS for reading folks. :-)
