Description: Here we have a very nice Mason's 1858 quart fruit or canning jar. It stands about 7 3/8" tall to the top of the zinc lid. Embossed on the face is MASON'S (arced) / CFJCo logo / PATENT / NOV 30TH (TH underlined) / 1858 . A very nice jar that has blued nicely. Rim edge is good (see photo). On the base is the initial G, a faint "7" and a bold "5". The lid is plain and its porcelain liner is unmarked. Shipping weight, well packed, is 1 1/2 lbs.
