Description: Listing is for a pair of antique rococo style mantle vases. Each vase and plinth is painted a lovely celadon green with panels of hand painted bouquets. Each has an incised “27” mark as well as a hand written mark that I can’t decipher. I believe they are 19th century and French, but the other possibility is English. 10.5” tall and 6” across acanthus handles. The depth of the base is 3.75” Really gorgeous appearance showing age appropriate wear. I can’t identify any chips or cracks and I’ve looked very carefully. One of the vases is loose on the plinth and a bit of folded paper is helping to keep it upright and in place. The same vase has a bit of grit near the bottom that has been painted and glazed over. Some errant paint spots noted outside the floral panel. Happy to provide additional photos on request.
