Description: Unusual Antique OMEGA Hunter Case that simulates a Pocket Watch, given by Retailers as Advertising courtesy to their Customers. Made in Switzerland. Circa 1906 Brass body, simulating a pocket watch when in fact it is an original empty watch case with no dial and movement, distributed by Omega to retailers as an advertising souvenir or courtesy item together with a purchase. Front cover decorated with a “rising sun” motif and large inlaid “Omega”, and reading inside “Omega, Reloj de Precision, Grands Prix, Bruxelles 1897, Paris 1900,Milan 1906”. Back showing the same ornamentation as front cover, but without “Omega” on it. Crown and pendant bow. Dimension: 48 millimeters diameter. Thickness: 9 millimeters.Condition: Good overall, showing signs of use and aged material. Hinges are working. This case does not keeps close, as it is just an advertising item and it was not manufactured with a cover lock as pocket watches used to come (please check the larger photographs for details).
