Description: Vintage to antique - Western Rawhide Bosal with Stitched Leather Headstall and Cotton Reins This Conches Brass Buckles The headstall is double layered leather with stitched edges and includes brow band and throat latch. The buckles on the headstall have the anchor mark and are low to no magnetic. I believe they are mostly brass. There are two conches with a star pattern (one is tied on with newer leather). I could not find a silver mark on the conches. The two conches are NOT magnetic but I do not know the type of metal. The leather has been cleaned and conditioned, but was very dry when acquired. It has damage on a couple of ends (separated stitching on throat latch and missing an end near buckle). The leather is thick and high quality, just very old now. The bosal is made of rawhide and comes with cotton lead rope for reins. The top of the nose band is nicely woven the bottom weaving has gaps. Overall, it shows wear but has lasted a long time. I do not know if it is usable, but it is a great western show piece. LOTS of photos for your reference. Please see photos for details and ask any questions.
