Description: at the earths core by Edgar Rice Burroughs. This is a novel about two men and their adventures who burrow 500 miles into the earth in an experimental mining vehicle, only to discover that the earth is a hollow shell and inside is the land of Pullucidar. The story was originally written in 1914 as a magazine serial, then later published as a book in 1922. This particular edition is the 1962 version released by Ace books. In addition to the story by Burroughs it has a beautiful piece of cover art, as well as an interior illustration, by Roy Krenkel Jr., a well known fantasy illustrator. The book is in good condition. There is some yellowing of the pages and back cover, and some slight wear on the edge of the front cover, which can be seen in the pictures. The original owner, who had it until just recently, also wrote the month and year that he bought it inside the front cover, also pictured. This would be a good book for any Burroughs fan to read, or an addition to a collection. It would also be a very thoughtful gift for a friend or family member who is into fantasy novels.
