Description: The box, as shown from all sides, is in excellent condition. The instruction sheet has no stains or tears, although the front page has become somewhat yellowed with age. The decals are in very good condition. The 10 black parts are still in their original sealed plastic bag, only three having fallen off their plastic sprue. And as shown, very few of the olive drab parts have fallen off their original plastic sprues. This is an overall great kit of an S.E.5, rather than an S.E.5a, and its choice of markings reflect S.E.5 aircraft. That shown on the box cover reflects RAF No. 60 Squadron, 72-victory ace, Capt. William A. Bishop, 1917 personal markings for his S.E.5. The other choice is markings for No. 56 Squadron, 57-victory ace, Maj. James McCudden, personal markings for his S.E.5 in June of 1917. The attached color profiles are from "S.E.5a in Action", Squadron/Signal Publications, Aircraft Number 69.
