The ThunderJet 500 was introduced in 1963 by Aurora Plastics Corporation as the successor to the Vibrator Chassis. Wild Ones were introduced in early 1969. Tuff Ones were introduced in December of 1969. AFX (Non MagnaTraction) cars were introduced in 1971. In 1970, as AURORA geared up to transition to AFX, they needed to clear out remaining TJet and Wild Ones components. They put together this HYBRID TJet chassis and pushed them out to distributors and Hobby Shops. These Wild Ones / ThunderJet 500 Hybrid chassis feature: • Speedwound GREEN wire RED lam-tip Tuff Ones armature • Silver Plated Pickup Shoes • Stock TJet Motor Brushes • Stock TJet Gears • Stock TJet Hubs, Axles, Tires - NOTE: Tires are nearly a half century old and need to be replaced for competitive racing. True NOS T-Jet chassis are becoming scarce. These Wild Ones T-Jet Hybrid chassis are original AURORA New-Old-Stock out of master cases of 100 and not used.
