Description: 5lb 3oz Ingot of John Finn Metal Company Special Armature Babbitt Metal Cast with "Bearing Metal for Armature Liners" on its left half. The right half was cast with "Made By John Finn, San Francisco" but the lettering in the center was damaged by rubbing or perhaps heat. "Special Armature" is stamped on both halves on the reverse side. John Finn Metal was San Francisco based but opened a facility in the Georgetown section of Seattle around 1900.
