Troutman & Co. is pleased to offer for your consideration: Let's talk about this fly rod: A lovely, custom-built RL Troutman bamboo fly rod built on Authentic Gene Edwards bamboo blank, measures at 7' in length, three sections with an extra tip. Our blank comes from a trusted supplier in Connecticut, and was inspected for straightness, etc. We finished this blank in a velvety-smooth "French" finish by applying four coats of Tru-oil and polishing with jeweler's rouge after each coating. All parts are new, custom built by hand. This hand-built rod features close-whipped Rice's "Wine" silk wrappings throughout with end wraps of French beige and teal at ferrules, tips, and winding check; top quality black finish "Snake" brand guides with a deep amber-orange 8mm agate stripping guide; hook keeper; winding check. Ferrules are chrome plated brass, tight-fitting that give a satisfying "pop" when separated; top grade Charles Ritz-style cork grip; reel is seated and secured with a down-locking cap & ring "wedding band" type of anodized aluminum in gunmetal/pewter tone, set off with a lovely honey-tone bamboo wood spacer. Line weight designation #4/5-weight. Action is medium fast; weighs approx. 3.2 oz. No rod case, but cotton poplin rod sock included. Rod will be properly packaged, insured and shipped by reliable carrier. This rod was made by award-winning author, Richard Landerman, writer of fly-fishing stories.
