Description: Beautiful antique French Empire cabinet plate with center cameo of ancient Roman or Greek man wear a crown of leaves and painted in a style that emulates what an agate cameo looks like in person. Wonderful outer wreath of fruits and flowers and gold gilding decoration highlighting the decoration. Early plate made around year 1800. Mounted in a wire hanging frame. Back is marked with an engraved potters mark and Sevres written in orange/red color. Measurement 9.5 inches diameter. Condition is good with some scattered wear and losses. Spot at center cameo at back of head possibly a scrape or touchup spot I don't know. See photos for details. Very pretty in person and over 200 years old.
