Description: A very pretty Sevres style compote in the classic "bleu de roi" color, signed Rochette, circa 1900. I am fairly certain the maker is Sevres but there is no mark unless it is under the brass underplate on the base. I am reluctant to remove it because all pieces are firmly intact while in place. I have seen many Sevres marked pieces with the same artist signature in the same color and style. The compote is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. There is some color loss on the rim. The color is predominately cobalt blue with gilt highlights and bronze ormolu mounts. The plate has a typical romantic scene. The piece measures 6 inches high (15.4 cm) and the plate is inches in diameter (23 cm).
