Description: Vintage Bergere Egyptian Revival Cleopatra style gold plated wide chain link collar / choker / necklace & bracelet. The necklace is 14.5" long, 1" wide with a 2.5" long extended chain. The bracelet is 7" long, 1" wide with a flip over clasp. The necklace - unmarked, the bracelet is marked "Bergere". It is a vintage item in very good condition. BE AWARE -both pieces of the set have faded through the years- the necklace much less than a bracelet. Bergére began producing jewelry just post-war and closed it's doors about 30 years later. Bergere jewelry stands out for its premium components and elegant designs. The fact that products bearing the Bergere label were often featured on the pages of fashion publications and on advertising posters also contributed to their notoriety. Bergere jewelry was sold at Nordstrom, Lord & Taylor, and Marshall Fields stores. After working for almost 40 years, Bergère Inc. shut down in 1979.
