Description: Striking black and gold Shinwa vase is intricately detailed, showing a mountainous landscape with a house, boats in a nearby stream and a person on a bridge. Gold, copper and white/gray details are beautifully contrasted against the black backdrop. Top and bottom rims of the vase have golden bands. Great chinoiserie find -- item is from an estate. Colors are clear and bold; vase is in very good to excellent condition. One manufacturer's defect is on the left side, which is a small bump. Gold color Shinwa maker's mark 'Made in Japan' are on the bottom. Vase would make a fine addition to any collection or display and would make a great gift for any fan of Asian decor.
