Designed by the Hanomag Company of Germany as an off-road armored personnel carrier in 1938. The official model was Sd.Kfz. 251, or Sonderkraftfahrzeug 251. Commonly referred to as SPW, Schutzenpanzerwagen, half-track, or armored infantry vehicle. These half-track vehicles were initially offered to hobby collectors by Classic Toy Soldiers Company around 2010.
