This one is a Conservatoire Model, sometimes designated the “C12.” It is an intermediate model three steps above the common E11, but at a couple thousand less than the professional R13. The clarinet is in exceptional condition: wood body is a vintage billet of grenadilla with a tight, straight grain and no chips, cracks, or repairs. Silver plate about 99% with little if any wear at all. Just through the shop where it was disassembled, cleaned, bore oiled, polished, and lubed. Repadded with both joints in a combination of Ferree’s premium cork and Ferree’s B17 de’Jur double-bladder, pressed felt pads. Plays very nicely with an open feel, moderately warm tone, and excellent projection. Includes a Vandoren 11.1 mouthpiece (similar to a 5RV Lyre but with a warmer sound,) ligature, cap, screwdriver, and new ProTec microfiber cloth. Cork grease for local pickup only and will not be shipped. Comes in the slim pochette case with a nice case cover.
