This is a Buffet Crampon R13A in nickel, s/n 316XXX. It is in excellent condition: nickel plating about 99% with a little cloudiness that will come out with its next polish, but little if any actual plating wear. Wood has no chips, cracks or repairs, and the tenons are still nice and square with no wobble between joints. While we usually overhaul all the clarinets we offer for sale, this one was last done in long-lasting cork and synthetic pads which are all still in very good condition, so it needed little other than bore oiling and some very minor adjustments. Plays very nicely across the entire instrument with a huge, broad, dark tone and little resistance, and near-perfect intonation with the included Muncy A660 barrel—a reverse taper similar to a Moennig, and hard to find on the used market! Key oil and cork grease are for local pickup only and will not be shipped, but it does include a new ProTec microfiber cloth and nice swab. All in the deluxe, leather, double attache case which is itself in near perfect condition. MSRP $8,114, usually sells new for $4,525.
