Description: This is an original antique catalog of “Cottages By The Sea” on Spring Lake Beach in New Jersey issued by P.C. Brown. This catalog is a booklet format of 64 pages plus the covers measuring about 8-7/8” x 4” with an additional foldout map at the end that 16.5” x 8.5”. The title page reads: “Cottages By The Sea” P.C. BROWN’S LIST of FURNISHED COTTAGES Spring Lake Beach New Jersey – This book contains a complete list of Spring Lake properties, either for Sale or Rent, and the undersigned will be pleased to show the same at any time. My office is located at 1311 Third Avenue, between Jersey and Washington Avenues. Many of the “cottages” listed are more like mansions renting at $1,000 or more which was a lot of money around 1910 or so. BROWN Real Estate Spring Lake, New Jersey I don’t find a date on this catalog but it is an antique original which probably dates to around 1910 to 1915 or so.
