Description: This is a lot of two vintage original c.1950 US government publications relating to Civil Defense and the Atomic Bomb. The first item is four page pamphlet advertising the USGPO publication The Effects of ATOMIC WEAPONS which is touted as “Just Off The Press!” and “The First Completely Authoritative Document On the Over-All Effects Of Atomic Weapons”. The second item is a small card printed both sides measuring about 4”x 2-5/8” titled “Effects Air Burst Of Atomic Weapons” on one side and “Individual Action Air Burst Of Atomic Weapons”. This card looks like it was intended as a quick pocket reference for what to do when a Atomic bombs goes off in your near vicinity. The card is dated 1950. The pamphlet isn’t dated but looks to be from that same Korean War era time period. Both items are vintage originals in very good condition.
