Cannondale CAAD 12 Black Inc. 58cm

Description: Cannondale CAAD12 Black Inc for sale (minus the wheels, see below) Price is for bike minus wheels. This is Cannondale’s ultra light-weight, top tier aluminum road bike with rim brakes. From the factory is came with the lightest paint available as well as the lightest fork Cannondale offered. There is also a carbon seatpost that provides a very surprising amount of comfort. As pictured it is less than 15 pounds (exact weight unknown since my scale doesn’t have good resolution) and with a little more effort it could go much lower. Let’s talk about the bike. First and foremost it’s a 58. Seems hard to find a nice 58 on the internet, at least it was when I wanted one of these. The cranks are Cannondale’s Hollogram SISL2 which are among the lightest (and in my opinion some of the coolest looking) cranks on the market. I recently changed the chainrings to a brand new 53/39. The cranks are in very good shape with a little discoloration from my vice clamps when I changed the chainring. The bottom bracket was also recently replaced and I have not experienced any creaks prior to or after the new bearings. I also have a BB Infinite sleeve which is claimed to help potential creaking but honestly it seemed more hassle than help. It will be included if you desire it. The brakes are from SRAM. I have a Red caliper on the front and a Rival on the rear. They work well enough but mostly I just wanted the chrome look.They currently have Reynolds blue carbon pads which will be included. The ultegra groupset is very low mileage and shifts great. The levers have no scratches and work great. It’s 11 speed and maybe has 1 year of use. The saddle is an Sworks Toupe with carbon rails. These have been my go-to saddle for quite a few years. The handlebars are currently Roval Rapides but I may end up swapping them for some 3T carbon handlebars that are a little less narrow. The chain is a KMC gold chain that just looks good. I can’t add much more than that. Pedals and bottle cages won’t be included. As for why I am selling it, I have got quite a few bikes building up in the collection and I thought I would use this for road racing but never got around to that. Seems a little too nice to have as a show pony. Hopefully you find it as nice as I do.
