Finally, traditional Catholics have the means to provide their children with a handwriting series that has a truly Catholic foundation with no modernistic references (such as Seton, Our Lady of Victory School, etc.). The penmanship series covers Kindergarten through Grade 6. Each grade level has a Catholic emphasis using words and sentences that pertain to the Faith. We have tried to make the series interesting by placing pictures relating to the day’s lesson. It is our hope that this handwriting series will be enjoyed by all the Catholic schools and homeschoolers who use them. One thing is for sure. The pupil cannot walk away from the year’s work without becoming more knowledgeable about the Catholic faith, be he kindergartner or sixth grader. In these formative years, Catholic children need a constant reminder of their Catholic heritage in almost everything they do. Religious training should not be confined to the instruction of their Religion class only. It must permeate each and every subject so as to leave a lasting impression on the youngster of the importance of reflecting on God’s Word in all he does and with every breath he takes. The Palmer Method of handwriting has been chosen for our Catholic Penmanship because it is the more traditional approach to writing. This method has been used in Catholic schools for decades with much success. With the proper attention paid to the student’s penmanship, hopefully beautiful handwriting will be introduced into our culture once again. The subject of handwriting is almost nonexistent in most government schools and is confined to the first couple of grades in many homeschool curriculums. Our children must be taught to take pride in the knowledge they acquire and to produce in beautiful handwriting the things of God that they have learned.These books are 11" x 8.5" with spiral binding of various colors.We suggest extra handwriting tablets might be purchased to use for Gr. 1-5 in practicing some of the lessons that need extra paper.
