Description: CDV - Signed By Corporal Wm. H. Gilpatrick & Wife - 29th Co. VCR. Signed on the back, "Yours Truly /Wm H. Gilpatrick. /29th Co. V.C.R." He also had prior service with the 13th New Hampshire Infantry. He mustered into the 13th as a corporal in Sept of 1862, and transferred out in March of 1864 to the Veteran Reserve Corps. Reason not given in database. His wife simply signs, "Mrs. Gilpatrick." Photographed by Couch & Burns, Hampton, Va. (Wm.) Good condition, with trimmed corners, showing staining and wear.
