Certified Handmade “Maw Maw B” Quilt w/Tied Quilting, Brand New, Unused

Description: Patchwork quilt (measures 82" X 91") made with multisized blocks. All fabric is quality 100% cotton fabric. Fabric is new and unwashed. Blocks are sewn together on a domestic sewing machine. The quilt top is then Tied Quilted(Individual stitches taken through all three layers of the quilt sandwich and knotted on the quilt top surface or, occasionally on the back of the quilt, like done in the Adirondack North Country for generations). The quilt is reversible. The quilt backing is as shown in the pictures.The binding is double folded and machine sewn for durability. The premium batting is 80/20 batting and gives the quilt loft. This batting washes well and keeps its shape.Quilts are made to be washed and used! Washer friendly using a cold wash to retain the crisp colors, just toss into the dryer for a few minutes to fluff it out. “Maw Maw B” is a retired School Teacher/Librarian. She retired in 2000 and moved to Poplarville, Mississippi, in 2007, after being devastated by Hurricane Katrina. She is a member of several Quilting Guilds, including the Picayune Peacemakers and the Slidell Camellias. Quilting has become her life’s passion. After blessing many family members and friends with some of her beautiful creations, she is forced to sell her handiwork because she has no place left to store the many Quilts she has handcrafted and accumulate funds to continue producing these lovely works of art.
