This is a 1 17/32 or slightly over 1 1/2" o.d. spout base gasket. The extra deep collar at appx.1" in depth is noted. I made the gasket at 1 17/32" in appx.outside diameter dimension to allow for a compression fit on the spout base which has a 1" in sleeve depth in the black collar. I decided to make this style of gasket as good old Ethanol is creating problems for older and newer style plastic gas cans across the board. I have only the 1.1 gallon(Mfg.September 2003 and the 2.1 gallon(Mfg.August 2002) fuel containers at this time. The black spout will fit both containers which inclines me to think this one spout will fit other larger New Style Chilton containers which at this point may be 3.1, 4.1, 5.1 and 6.1 gallon gas cans. With 1 gasket fitting all New Style Chilton containers as well, 1 size fits all.
