Description: Chinese Yue Ware Chicken-Head Jar, Eastern Jin Dynasty A superb Chinese Yue ware chicken-head jar, Eastern Jin Dynasty (317- 420) or possibly later. Well modelled and potted with two small loop handles and fine detail to the chicken head with an olive green celadon glaze that ends just above the base to reveal the brown stoneware body. Measures 9.5cm tall and 10.5cm long. In excellent condition with only slight wear to the rim - please see all photos for confirmation.
