Description: A unique collectible for fans of the classic sitcom CHEERS, starring Ted Danson. In the Sam & Diane era, CHEERS routinely had season ending cliffhangers typically tied to their relationship. This was mostly abandoned after Shelley Long left, but this seventh season script was originally written as a cliffhanger, but was ultimately scrapped in the production week and then produced as a standalone episode with only one day added to the production schedule. The episode, SISTERLY LOVE, is a very funny and well done episode with Marcia Cross as Rebecca's sister. As the backstory on the production of this episode is not widely known, this collection of reproduction scripts and documents show how it unfolded.Joan Severance was initially cast in the role and it ended with a spontaneous wedding between Rebecca's sister and Sam. In the routine 5 day production week, it went through 3 days of rehearsals, and then for unknown reasons, the plot of Sam getting married was scrapped and not only re-written to the episode that aired, but Severance was recast with Cross. This collection of over 130 pages includes the following reproductions:*First Draft script*Final Draft script*Outline of the story submitted by the episode writer*Final credits memo submitted for the episode*6 call sheets (originally double sided, reproduced as single sided and tucked in)What's interesting is the timing. As CHEERS was a Tuesday (filmed) show, the production week always started on a Wednesday. The call sheet for Day 4 and the revised script match the timing of the decision and an additional day of production added as Cross does not appear until the 5th day and ultimately filming on the 6th day. Incredible that she pulled that off such a great performance in such a short time!Nicely bound for easy reading with the script cover reproduced in color (even though it was originally white) with a clear cover.
