This is a reproduction from the series at it's peak in season 3.The episode, TEACHER'S PETRIE, a classic with Rob and Laura at odds over Rob's belief that the teacher's overzealous praise of Laura's writing is simply due to his attraction to her. What is notable about this script is that it is one of the first writing credits for the legendary Garry Marshall before his career took off in creating THE ODD COUPLE, HAPPY DAYS, and LAVERNE & SHIRLEY during his 1970's heyday and before the beginning of his prolific directing career including PRETTY WOMAN. Additionally, the original belonged to the assistant director as his last name is written in pencil in the upper right of the title page and there are some personal notations inside, including reference to an appointment at MGM for an interview for a feature film for which he was being considered. Very notable is that the original was hand signed by both Dick Van Dyke and Garry Marshall in 2015 when they both appeared at the same signing event.Nicely bound for easy reading with a clear cover, the script cover has been reproduced in color to better capture it’s vintage nature as well as the reproduced signatures.
