The handles are really nice and heavy and feel great in my hand. Really well balanced knives in my opinion. You are responsible for getting edge and sharpness and polish the way you want it. I can't make any claims as to where they are now in sharpness or edge or polish as I have no personal history to know. I do not know the age of the knives. There are no model numbers on the knives only Copco as pictured. I think I read that the company has been around since the 50s or 60s so who knows. The handle style should tell you something.
