Description: Cuban oregano grows as a succulent. It is also known as broadleaf thyme, Puerto Rican oregano. This plant grows very nicely in containers. It makes a great houseplant. The leaves are juicy and have lots of medicinal properties. It is high in Thymol content which makes it very useful for its anti-bacterial properties. Our plants are grown here in Central Florida without any pestides. They ship from here (not Cuba) Cuban oregano needs temperatures above 40 degrees. It will take a frost but expect spots on the leaves if they get under 40 by to much. As it warms up, the new growth wont have the spots. In the summer time they grow like weeds into a bush and grow very fast. They make great houseplants. They do not need alot of light. Direct sun will make smaller leaves and a more yellow color. Shade gives them a more green color and larger leaves. Please understand that your plant will not be shipped out unless the temperatures are sufficient to ensure live delivery. If the temps are too low in your area, then the order will be held until time is good to ship out. You will not be contacted regarding held shipments in the wintertime. Thanx for your understanding.DarrenSearch the internet for more good information about this plant and its uses. We have some options here.
