Description: You are looking at a Custom Built Astatic 200S with 1970s Shure 99A86 Controlled Magnetic Element measuring 1017 Ohms on a DMM. Powder Coated in Candy Purple with Gold Flake and a Volume Control, Switchcraft Connector and Adapter to 1/4". The Astatic 200S has a Truly Iconic Vintage Grille which has been copied by many other companies. This particular 200S arrived ah The Harp Mic Shop with a DOA crystal element. It has been chopped to make it more Harp Friendly and easier to hold and cup. The shell has been taken down to bare metal and powder coated in a beautiful Candy Purple with Gold Flake. The grille has been cleaned and is backed with stainless wire mesh and a Purple Silk to dress it up a bit. A volume control has been placed where the stem has been removed and a Switchcraft 5/8" screw connector has been installed behind it at an angle which helps keep the cable out of your way. A Switchcraft Adapter is also included for easy connection to an amplifier. At the heart of the mic is a 1972 Shure 99A86 Controlled Magnetic element which measure 1017 Ohms and has a Nice Strong Output with Good Breakup and Excellent Bottom End Response. The element has been cleaned and disinfected and has been tuned for maximum output and tone. The volume control, knob, wiring, wire mesh, silk and Switchcraft parts are new. Thanks for looking!
