Description: Up for sale is a nice bamboo fly rod. This rod is labeled “custom-built by Randale Sechrest 1985 Charlottesville, Va”. This rod is 7’ 2” long and it weighs 3.5oz (it feels like it would handle 4-5wt fly lines just fine). Although this rod can be fished with as-is, the spare tip has a split and it is missing all of the snake guides. The split is in the middle of the section (see photo). The good tip has a slight set, but it is in great shape. The ferrules fit tight and as intended. Unfortunately, I am not sure who made the blank. At first glance it appeared to be an Orvis Impregnated blank; however, I don’t think the ferrules are Orvis. Despite the one broken tip, this is still a nice custom-built rod.
