Defiant ( NX-74205) was initially designed by Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and the feature film Star Trek: First Contact art illustrator Jim Martin. This excellent model of the U.S.S. Defiant NX-74205 Starship is cast in high-quality materials and carefully painted by hand to provide incredible detail. The starship comes boxed with a 20-page magazine. The Defiant is a prototype warship stationed at Deep Space 9 that was in-part designed by Commander Benjamin Sisko himself. It's the first ship built by Starfleet specifically for war, in light of a devastating defeat by the Borg. The Defiant is equipped with a Romulan cloaking device and ablative armor that can rapidly dissipate impact from energy weapon fire.
