Description: Offered for your consideration is a clear glass pickle, relish, or olive tray made by Adams & Company (1861-1891) in their number 17 pattern. Also known as "Minerva", "Roman Medallion", or "Loves Request is Pickles", this pattern was introduced circa 1881. This pickle tray features the "Loves Request is Pickles" phrase. Imperial has reproduced this piece, but their reproductions have the Imperial "IG" mark while this tray does not. The pickle tray measures 9 inches (22.9 cm) long, 5 inches (12.7 cm) wide, and 1.5 inches (3.8 cm) tall. This pickle tray is in excellent used condition with no cracks, chips, roughness, nor repairs. There are few very faint surface scratches from use. Pickle tray is used so there may be minor wear or additional indications of use. See photos. The glass is bright and clear with no cloudiness, discoloration, nor lime scale present. There are small bubbles within the glass and there may be a shear (straw) mark or other minor imperfections within the glass due to the manufacturing process used at the time. Pickle tray will be shipped from a smoke-free home and will be packed securely for shipping. Good luck and thank you for your interest.
