Description: EARRINGS - 1935 SILVER JUBILEE MEDAL GEORGE V & QUEEN MARY GB. Gold tone screw back earring pair. No maker's mark seen. I don't know much about these but tried to do some research. The markings on the earrings are not sharp, but it appears they are inspired by the King George V Silver Jubilee commemorative medal celebrating the 25th anniversary of the accession of King George V. Both the front and back look very much like the design of the medal and appear to have the same markings. According to research the markings on the original medal on the front are "GEORGE • V • AND • QUEEN • MARY • MAY • VI • MCMXXXV" and on the reverse has two dates: "May 6 1910 and May 6 1935" Please see photos for best information on details, condition and size. The earrings are about 5/8 inch diameter.
