Its obverse depicts the Al Azhar Mosque in Cairo. The reverse displays Ramesses II in a war, stylized papyrus flowers, and a granite statue of Ramesses II holding a heka (crook) based from Museo Egizio in Turin, Italy. The reverse also features a prow of a reed boat and the name of Ramesses II in a cartouche. The paper bill bears the signature of Farouk Abd El Baky El Okda and a watermark that reveals the mask of King Tut-Ankh-Amon. It does not contain a security thread.
