Description: STOP fretting over melted or warped plastic models caused by using 12 volt lights on your layout!. Wiring 3 or 4 of these in series uses the same voltage as one 12 volt lamp without the plastic damaging heat of 12 volt lights EIGHTEEN “Grain of Wheat" incandescent light bulbs. 3 Volt 80 ma each. They are 3mm (T-1) with one inch leads insulated with clear lacquer. Because of their low voltage, they stay relatively cool so they don’t cause the problems that 12 volt lamps do, like the distortion of plastic models caused by too much heat! I use these to light up my HO passenger cars, and can be used for many other things also, like to light street lamps, doll houses, model car headlights and tail lights, etc. For the passenger cars, I wire 3 or 4 of them in series, and they light up the ENTIRE CAR beautifully! Since they're wired in series they can handle 12 volts with no problem. If you use more than 12 volts, let me know and I'll include the appropriate resistor at no additional cost. I solder the leads together and hot glue them to the inside roof of the cars with a very fine wire going down to the trucks. It works great! I drill holes in a narrow copper strip that the point of the wheels go thru and then into the truck. If its a heavy style coach there are 3 holes and three sets of wheels, and two for stream-liners. That seems to be the set up that works best with hardly any flickering at all! They give a nice warm glow, and they turn on almost instantly at 1.5 volts even when using four in series!
