Highly desirable and scarce, this elegant pair with softly aged patina will make a stately presence, bringing a touch of the English countryside to any setting in which it is placed. The matched set of left and right facing figures will provide balance and symmetry when paired on a mantlepiece, shelf or table and the formal pose of this rare 19th century pair will make a marvelous focal point whether featured on its own or as a stunning addition to a collection or arrangement. Marvelous surviving period original examples from the 1800s. Minimal expected age related wear.
