Description: 2024 harvest. You will receive 50 elephant garlic corms of assorted sizes.These are organically grown in my Maine garden. The corms should be scored then soaked in water overnight before planting. Do not soak for more the 12 hours. The first year the corms will turn into rounds the size of a tennis ball. The second year the rounds will develop into nice large elephant garlic bulbs with several large cloves. Plant approx. one inch deep and six inches apart.. To score the corms I have use both methods with good results. Method one I nicked the corms with a razor blade and the other method I have placed the corms in between two sheets of sand paper and with a rotating motion I scratched the surface of the corms. The corms are very hard and by scoring then soaking them it will allow them to germinate better. Thank you....
