Whether or not that's the case, you should get the idea) From a Catalina Foothills estate in Tucson is this monumental and now vintage Navajo ingot copper cuff bracelet from the bench of Emerson Bill. The sculptural high relief repousse ornamentation and deeply struck prepared stamp embellishments are immediate indicators of something special. Of course there is no real substitute for this kind of artisanal effort, and Emerson's labor intensive investment pays visual dividends here. From the look I believe this is a 1980's or so ornament, meaning an earlier career example when he was concentrating on such over the top wearable artworks, both in copper and silver. Emerson still does top tier work and there is no mistaking any of his bold efforts - that said, this massive cuff is something else again. Weight is very good for the form at about 83.7 grams on my portable digital scale - that's almost 2 3/4 troy ounces. Condition is quite fine, with an accrued aura of time to the surfaces. It appears those surfaces were fairly well maintained when it was worn on a regular basis, and have now patinated towards their natural state. Be aware I have avoided every urge to refresh away or improve upon any natural toning - you want that done you do it. There are no structural issues to mention for accuracy - in fact, all typical and expected confirmation of previous wrist duty simply validates the history. A look at the pics should give a good idea of appearance and condition. Inner circumference is about 6 in. plus the 1 3/16 in. opening. About 2 1/2 in. vertical (wide) at the front - so yes, it will be noticed.
