Description: Hi Welcome! This is a vintage item, NOT NEW and not perfect. For your consideration is this lovely vintage Christmas Music Box from Germany. It is a unique work of art, hand crafted from wood and hand painted. It features 9 angels and a baby in a crib. This beautifully detailed music box was made in the Erzgebirge region in the former East Germany by the famous company "Wendt & Kuhn". When the music plays, the inner pole with the smaller angels rotates.The musical movement is a swiss THORENS movement. The sound is bright and clear and it plays very well: "Suesser die Glocken nie klingen". To wind it up, just turn the key on the side clockwise. There is a working stopper on the side, too. The music box is in great condition, but unfortunately not complete: The singing angel is missing a wing and part of her music sheet and 2 of the smaller angels are missing an arm. There also has been made a repair to the pole. Other than that, it is gorgeous! The paint is in great condition and there are only few paint chips. Please look at all pictures and zoom in. Nice vintage music box.Dates to the 1970s. Marked with the Erzgebirge/expertic label from that time period.It measures about 9" tall and 5" wide. Comes from a clean and smoke free home.
