On the back of this plate is "Fair Winds Original Copper Engraving depicting Historical Scenes of Chinese Export to America, The Friendship of Salem, Permanent Colors, Dishwasher and Detergent Safe, Alfred Meakin Staffordshire England." The front of the plate features the American eagle with the words "E Pluribus Unum" underneath, the Canton Port 1830, and the New York Harbor 1830, and U.S. Delaware Capturing Le Croyable. The center design features two ships. It is pottery/ ceramic with a glaze. CONDITION: Pre-owned. Good. No chips. Looks like a crack along the back but it is not visible from the front, with some crackled glaze. Some discoloration on the edge. Never used for foods nor washed.
