Description: I have three exceptionally fancy pair of original Victorian engageants, or undersleeves, from my personal collection that I am listing . I’ve had them for many years and because they have been packed up, they could use a little steaming to get some folds or wrinkles out. This pair is really lavish and is made of netting on which a wide band of lace ribbon with a rich mint green silk satin center runs the length of the full, airy sleeve. The original ties are present where they would be tied at the upper arms to show underneath shorter bodice sleeves. The netting is full and there are no holes, tears or flaws. They’ve been beautifully preserved. I’ll The wrists are banded with the same mint green silk satin and retain the handmade loops that would’ve buttoned at the wrists, but the buttons have been removed. One edge of the satin at the wrist needs a few stitches to baste where it has come loose, probably when the buttons were being removed. The sleeves are 20” long from top to bottom.
