Description: Gorgeous and symmetric Murano ribbons and gold sparkle art glass center bowl! Unsigned but attributed by experts to Fratelli Toso! The hefty bowl has a slightly scalloped edge and is folded up rim one side of the lip. The dusty rose swirled ribbons are edged with gold powder. The alternating merletto (net-like) wider ribbons are in lattimo white. *Pina's "Fifties Glass" book has a smaller version of the same model on page 19. The book calls this the "zanfirico" technique, though just calling it Murano. Svazzo, one of the best Venetian art dealers online, has a similar one also, attributed to Fra. Toso, and others too.
