The body top is Figured Maple, the body back and neck are Mahogany, and a 12 inch radius Rosewood fingerboard is used. The pickups are Gibson P.A.F type Burstbucker 1 & 2, and the condenser is Bumblebee. "R9" is stamped inside the cavity to indicate it is Historic Collection 1959. The mounting hole for the pickguard has not been left open since it was sold as a new product, and it is included separately. This machine is a like-new product in collector's condition with almost no signs of use. There is no visible wear on the net or frets, the neck is in good condition, and the truss rod is OK in both forward and reverse warping directions. The electrical system is also in good condition.
