Description: Up for sale is a beautiful, hand-painted trinket box from Limoges France. The box is numbered 1874 and includes marks noting the companies Artoria and Eximious. The exterior of the box features a gingerbread house painted with whimsical colorful gumdrops, and the interior of the box features an adorable gingerbread man. A squirrel (or possibly a bunny?) forms the center clasp. Truly a must have in any Christmas Limoges box collection. The box is in very good to excellent vintage condition. I made the following observations: There are no signs of chips, cracks, or repairs. The gold/brass has minimal to no tarnishing/discoloration. The box snaps to close via the clasp, and the clasp secures the box closed. There is a very slight offset between the top of the box and bottom of the box when the box is closed.
