Description: Kadesh or Qetesh is a 4 3/4" plastic figure of an the ancient deity who was incorporated into the Egyptian religion in the late bronze age. She is considered an Egyptian goddess influenced by the religion and iconography of the Canaan region. She is mentioned as "Mistress of all Gods", "Lady of the Stars of Heaven,'"Beloved of Ptah, etc. Her story is too is complicated to be dealt with here, but do look her up online for more interesting information. Kadesh is depicted as a frontal nude(uncommon in Egyptian art), standing on a Lion, holding snakes and bouquets of Lotus or papyrus flowers. The figure that I have pictured is from my own collection, so I do not open the package containing the figure I am selling you. Both figures are very similar. What you will receive is the figure in the black package as pictured. There seems to be more value in the figures that are still enclosed in the black package.These figures were manufactured in the United Kingdom.
