Description: Vintage GERMANY 1939-1949 GoebelHummel Figurine 132 STAR GAZER Crafted and hand painted in GermanyBoy sitting and looking at the stars through a telescope. Great vivid colors - Marked on base 132 with LARGE BEE & GERMANY - also marked 0 by master painter Gernot Bub who painted for Goebel from 1935 to 1940.Please consider the pictures to be part of the description. Stands about 4-3/4" high on the base that is 3-1/2" wide x 2-5/8" deep. This figurine was originally modeled by master sculptor Arthur Moeller in 1939. This is one of the rare early models in the old, original style. Rare blue shirt. Most models have purple shirts. Also no cross-strap on the front of the boy's lederhosen. For comparison I have added in the last picture a figurine in the new version (left figurine). The figurine is well kept and in excellent condition with no damage, chips, repairs, crazing or the likes. Valued at $250.00 I have many other Hummel's from my friend's collection - this is a consignment piece to help pay for her husband's medical bills.
