Condition: This pretty Autumn Leaf was made by the The Hall China Company. It is a huge pattern with many accessory pieces. The length of its production says it all (1938 to 1978). This pattern was one of the most popular china patterns that Hall ever produced. Our lovely Mary Dunbar dinner plate has the Mary dunbar backstamp. This backstamp was used between 1942 and 1945. This dinner plate is in in UNDAMAGED CONDITION without chips or cracks. It is free of disfiguring mold or production imperfections. The gold on plate is pristineI would rate it at 100%. We have duplicates of dinner plate. They are all in the same Undamaged Condition as the one shown. Please check the listing to see how many of these are still available. Autumn Leaf - Hall China with the Autumn Leaf decal first appeared in 1933 with the introduction of the 9" mixing bowl. This lovely pattern was the best selling pattern ever produced by Hall. Autumn Leaf was made exclusively for the Jewel Tea Company of Barrington, Il. In the early years pieces of Autumn Leaf were given away as premiums for the purchase of other products. Soon the pattern line developed and new items were added to the line regularly and old ones were discontinued. Autumn leaf became a number one seller and Jewel Tea sold the pattern through 1976. In 1978, some items were reissued for a brief period and a few pieces were made to be given out as awards to outstanding sales people. Jewel's exclusive rights for this pattern ran out and in the last few years limited edition items have been made for both the National Autumn Leaf Collectors Club and a private company called China Specialties.
