Description: Hand Forged Cowboy Knife - USA. Just like all my knives, I hand forge these from scratch right here on my ranch In Tennessee. These are not something cut out by a machine, these start from a small piece of steel and are hammered start to finish by my hands. Each knife takes me weeks to make. This specific knife is a BEAST. When I thought about making this, I thought about, “what would I make if I needed a knife as a weapon, that could still function as a utility tool” and this is what I made. The blade is forged from the strongest, toughest steel I can find, it is nearly impossible to hammer and cut even when glowing hot. The bolsters on the knife are made from a mild steel that I forged into the knife with 1/4 in steel rods so that they will never be able to budge. The handle is full tang and made of black g-10 and brass pins. I set the handle up for 3 different grip options, chopping, choking up for fine work, and in between for fast swinging. This blade is shaving sharp, I shaped it as a flat to keep extra strength, and a clip point with swedge for a piercing point. The sheath I made is from saddle leather, sewen and riveted together for a strong permanent connection. It has a belt loop and attachment if dangle carry is desired. This is an heirloom quality knife and will last you a lifetime, when it is in your hands you will feel something you could never buy in a store.
